President John Adams, 2nd President of the United States • 1797-1801
“Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone
which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand."
The American Christian Lobbyist Association (The ACLA) Mission Statement:
The American Christian Lobbyists Association (The ACLA) was founded in June of 2004 to encourage conservative Christians across the United States to participate in the legislative process by retaining the ACLA to help them lobby their states elected officials in the 112th U.S. Congress or to teach them how to make their vote count between now and the U.S. Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
In addition, the ACLA also participates in political advocacy by hosting ACLA Town Hall meetings at independent venues and churches. By law, political advocacy may not be limited by government and can be freely engaged in local churches. Political advocacy includes the discussion of issues of public concern, the actions of government officials in office, and the positions of candidates on issues. As long as one does not use explicit words expressly advocating the election or defeat of a clearly identified candidate, one is free to praise or criticize officials and candidates – this is called political advocacy.
In conclusion, the ACLA recommends that you Make Your Vote Count in 2012 by voting for proven conservative political candidates that are currently serving in or are running for the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. To do this, the ACLA advises that you read and research each political parties platform, candidate statements and their voting records (if they already serve in elected office) on the issues of Abortion-End Of Life, Christian Free Speech and Marriage and then pray before you make a final decision on which political party and candidates you decide to support.
