"Bear always in mind that a nation ceases to be republican only when the will of the majority ceases to be the law." President Thomas Jefferson, Third President Of the United States • 1801-1809
Strike One: In 1963 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 8-1 that devotional Bible reading, prayer or other government sponsored religious activities in public schools are unconstitutional.
What does the Bible say about that decision?:"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
This explains why ...

"He shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient." • Article II, Section 3 of the United States Constitution
On Tuesday, February 12th President Barack Obama delivered his 5th State of the Union address to the nation. The majority of this speech centered on the economy, new gun control legislation, maintaining a strong military and creating a new jobs plan for America through a new government works initiative. However, interwoven into the President's speech was the following statement: "We'll invest in new capabilities, even as we reduce waste and wartime spending. We ............

Last Thursday on February 7th, I posted President Barack Obama's speech from last weeks annual 61st National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. here on my blog websites. Over-all I thought the Presidents speech was well written by his speech writers and that it was well received by those who were in attendance.
However as I watched this event on C-SPAN, I also heard the speech made by this years keynote speaker Dr. Benjamin Carson. While watching Dr. Carson make his speech it became apparent by the Presidents body language that he was made uncomfortable by some of the suggestions that the doctor made during his speech. Afterwards I decided to delay posting my commentary on the President's speech as it became obvious that a ......

President Obama addressed the 61st National Prayer Breakfast on February 7th in Washington, D.C. at the Washington Hilton. Here is his speech courtesy of the White House for you to review: "Thank you very much. Please have a seat. Mark, thank you for that introduction. I thought he was going to talk about my gray hair. (Laughter.) It is true that my daughters are gorgeous. (Laughter.) That’s because my wife is gorgeous. (Applause.) And my goal is to improve my gene pool.
To Mark and Jeff, thank you for your wonderful work on behalf of this breakfast. To all of those who worked so hard to put this together; to the heads of state, members of Congress, and my Cabinet, religious ............

"Society has always regarded marital love as a sacred expression of the bond between a man and a woman. It is the means by which families are created and society itself is extended into the future. In the Judeo-Christian tradition it is the means by which husband and wife participate with God in the creation of a new human life. It is for these reasons, among others, that our society has always sought to protect this unique relationship. In part the erosion of these values has given way to a celebration of forms of expression most reject. We will resist the efforts of some to obtain government endorsement of homosexuality." • President Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States 1981-1989
It is amazing to see how ...

Perhaps because we know we control our own destiny, we believe deep down inside that working together we can make each new year better than the old.” • President Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States 1981-1989
For the past 8-1/2 years, I have worked as a church and Christian lobbyist for the American Christian Lobbyists Association (The ACLA) to encourage like-minded individuals, families, Christian businesses, organizations, schools and churches to lobby their states elected officials to oppose or support Abortion-End of Life, Christian Free Speech and Marriage bills and resolutions that are pending before the current session of the U.S. Congress.
During the last two year session of the 112th U.S. Congress (.........

“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” • President Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States • 1861-1865
Since the re-election of President Barack Obama on November 6th, I have received dozens of letters and phone inquires asking for political direction. As I have read the E-mails and responded to my phone messages you would think that our nation had just re-elected our first end times President.
Now I am not implying or endorsing the notion that President Obama is the anti-Christ or the ...

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." • President John Quincy Adams, 6th President of the United States • 1825-1829
On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, the conservative Christian vote in the United States did not deliver the Presidency or a majority in the U.S. Senate for the conservative Republican party. Instead, Liberal Democrat candidate President Barack Obama surprised and shocked the nation by rallying the base vote of his party and was re-elected narrowly to a second term as our nations ...

"The choice you make this November will shape great things, historic things, and those things will determine the most intimate and important aspects of every American life and every American family. This is an election about America, and it is an election about the American family. All elections matter. This one matters a great deal. Over the years of our nation’s history, choices our fellow citizens have made have changed the country’s course–they were turning points of defining consequence." Governor Mitt Romney, Second Presidential Debate, Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York.
Every four years politicians tell ...
